The first 2008 KCWJ employment outreach as required by the Equal Employment Opportunity rules took place on January 25, 2008 at the Career Fair on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois. KCWJ/AM was one of sixty-six prospective employers present to interview prospective full time employees and interns from the udnergraduate Mass Communications program at Olivet.
KCWJ/AM was given display booth space, interview facilities, and permission to distrubute rectuiting materials including information about possible intern grants and scholarships from various state broadcasting associations.
Applications were taken for vacant full-time sales positions as well as intern positions during the spring and summer school terms. Applicants submitted professional resumes, audition materials, and were granted interviews. Three applicants were from six interviews for further consideration and possible employment.
